Friday, January 28th, 2011 Sorry not been keeping you up dated, at least you all know I’m across Louisiana now in to Mississippi and what I would regard as on the home straights, I’ve been flying through here as quick as I could and not really thinking about much apart from riding.
I didn’t know how I would feel about riding down the “The” road and part of me just wanted to get across Louisiana as quick as possible so I was trying not to think about it. It kind of felt like as soon as I get across the state

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 Well where do I start with this one... should I start at the point where I realized it was going to be one the of hardest, most draining and wet days I think I’ve ever spent on a bike or with the fun and games we had with the massive great whole in the roof of the RV which also appears to not like the rain..???
Ok lets just go from the beginning.. last night whilst driving 40 miles out of our way to get move propane and find an RV park for the night it started to rain, obviously this was a

Monday, January 24th, 2011 Bit of a hit and miss day really, didn’t start quit the way anyone would of liked really, as we were both starting to come round it was baltic again and the heater seemed to be starting then stopping all of a sudden, was it another problem well not really but we had run out of gas... so no heating, nothing to cook with, no hot water. This would be one of the new missions for the day find gas (sorry america “Propane’)
The first mission of the day was to get off the park that we had ende

Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 Well looks like its the home straight now then guys.. I suppose we can even have a little ( I do mean little ) bit of a celebration.
Over the passed 14 days we’ve pedaled nearly 1800 miles, climbed over 56,000ft, burn’t over 66,000 calories and now its time to head to Miami..
Its been pretty emotional in some respects and very quite in others, over the last two days I’ve not really had a chance to think about much apart from getting to were I wanted to be, theres been that head win

Friday, January 21st, 2011 It kind of does my head in but she is always right, no matter what I do to try and make sure she isn’t right she normally is, apart from when she says she can cook better than me.

I think I must of got on the wrong bike today, the one I got on had a motor!! oh yeah the motor was me. Either that I was so knacked that all I wanted to do was get off the bike so I got to where I was going as quick as possible..

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 As Jonny would say “Jim you were flat out” even he thought the day went quick, he was driving but still didn’t have time to sit around, I was on fire..
I had hoped to be in Texas tonight but after looking at the map if we had of gone in to Texas we would just have to come back to find some where to park for the night so we didn’t push for the 160miles I would of liked see, I sat back and pulled in 140. Although were not in Texas I could through Jonny in to Texas from Walmart car park

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011 Another good one, very pleased to say the least
It was also a fast one, the wind was on my side for a change and oh boy we were kicking.. 140miles in the bank and yet again a very happy boy, there wasn’t a great deal going on today as the roads were really really straight the only bends today were one’s that went up and down.
There was a small climb at the end of the day that went from 5000ft (ish) to 7500ft (ish) but I didn’t notice it (there might even be a tunnel there now) we de

Monday, January 17th, 2011 Day 8
I didn’t just ride through the mountains today I ripped a new road though the middle, in fact the way I went I could of drilled a new tunnel!! If there’s a problem with the road surface its my fault.. hands up!!.
The day didn’t start like that though
After day 7 ending the way it did, being absolutely freezing last night and being informed that we were in the windiest town the USA I really wasn’t looking forward to today. I’m on the back foot again and I’d got groun

Monday, January 17th, 2011 Day 7
The started off with a monster of a climb and I do mean monster as well, thankfully we were already half the way up it but I still had to go that bit more to 7400ft with the idea of getting to 9800ft by the end of the day this meant coming down from 7400ft to about 6300ft then back up again.
I was still in the grove from the day before so it went pretty well, Jonny met me in a layby at the top of the first climb, I found the perfect place for a coffee and to started to the days blo
