Day 4

Today was one road and it was long!! it took me through the desert, over near the mountains and through the flats and in to ARIZONA!! good bye California..

I’m not saying anything about mileage till tomorrow or maybe the day after, you will just have to wait and see where were at..

To be fair I’ve not really been paying to much attention to it myself just been trying to get everything right and do as much as I can each day.

The weather that we had at the end of the year didn’t really help with getting many miles in or time on the bike apart from the gym and turbo trainer so was I kind of on the back foot before I got here but I’m here now and getting on with it.

In general today was a good but really quite hard day again, that head wind isn’t doing me any favors and although the road was pretty flat my legs felt it. It had some funny moments.. (every moments funny with Jonny) Jonny kept driving on ahead and then riding back to meet me so I had some company for a while.. its quite funny that the amount of miles he claims to have done keeps going up, to start with he said he had done 30miles then 40 then 50 as he gets tried it goes up..

Started thinking today.. which I have to say has taken longer than it does normally!! I stared thinking about everything thats happened, like it will only be two years on the 25th Feb since my lifesaver, missing Grandad, what I still put Mum through, getting closer to Dad and once again when I’ve done this whats next. I cant tell you what I was thinking because there was so much, all I do know is I want to keep helping people! I’d love to encourage more people to do more for themselves and others or both at the same time, its not just about raising money it about showing support.

We had our first attempt of emptying the toilet today (in the dark)… thats was interesting!! thankfully it stayed clean, the van is full of wet washing hanging everywhere and the fridge is full to the brim, eating properly, drinking lots and enjoying riding.

anyway its time for chicken, rice and mixed veg with a couple of gallons of water followed by a dvd and a good nights kip (not together, no spooning Jonnys at one end of the van I’m at the other)…

Thanks for reading..
