It kind of does my head in but she is always right, no matter what I do to try and make sure she isn’t right she normally is, apart from when she says she can cook better than me.
She isn’t right on that one…FACT!!!

For the last 10/11 days she been telling me that is cold in Texas -2 at night in fact and I’m obviously thinking that can’t be right this is Texas were talking about, then as were coming through New Mexico the weather was lovely early twenties with blue sky, it was like the summer.

It was a bit windy on day 11 (I’ve lost track of days of the week now) but it was still nice then last night it was so windy that the van was swaying all over the place and we were parked right next to a wall, I stood out side of the van in the morning and it was BALTIC only to then be putting my kit on look out the window and it was snowing!!! yep Snowing.

I set of down the road and within about half an hour I couldn’t move my fingers again, I was wearing the right kit, gloves jacket etc but it just wasn’t enough so found Jonny (about 20 miles down the road) I clad up with two pairs of gloves, thermal layer, wind proof, jacket and another wind proof, two pairs of socks and shoes covers, head scarf and hood, this was a little better, still a good day but it was a hard one, still averaged 20.3MPH over just under 7 Hours so still doing well on target.

Slept like a baby and should be in Austin by tomorrow night.

I have worked out that if and that is a big “IF” I can keep going like this I could get into Miami 4 days earlier than planned but lets not start the party yet I could be late especially the way the weather changes over her. All in all feeling really quite good about things.

Sorry not got a lot to say today mind was really focused on getting through the day and not getting cold.
